Child Development Facilitators

Roles & Responsibilities
Create fun, flexible therapy activities based on plans from the therapy team.
Help clients with behavior, communication, and everyday skills.
Plan your own schedule with families and therapists.
Keep families and team members updated on how clients are doing.
Keep all client and organization information private.
Finish paperwork and other required tasks.
Keep learning and growing through training and teamwork.
Working Conditions
Physical requirements: Includes lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, running, walking, and sitting on the floor.
Work settings: Work takes place in the family’s home, the community, or at the clinic.
Qualifications
Studying toward or have a diploma or degree in areas like child development, psychology, , linguistics, health and human services, disability studies, community rehabilitation, social work, or kinesiology.
At least three months of experience working with children and families.
Eager to learn more about child development and disabilities.
Builds strong, trusting connections with clients and team members.
Approaches challenges with critical thinking and flexibility in changing situations.
Communicates clearly and works well with others.
Fluent in English—can speak, read, write, and understand well.
Works collaboratively with therapists and clients through clear, respectful communication.
Must be at least 18 years old, with a clear up-to-date police and vulnerable sector check and child and youth intervention check..
Holds a valid driver’s license and dependable vehicle for travel.
